This is how hot it was on Wednesday in more than 30 cities in San Diego County – San Diego Union-Tribune

Temperatures soared across San Diego County on Wednesday, with the National Weather Service predicting a dangerous heat wave could develop. Many areas, particularly east of Interstate 15, saw record-high temperatures.

The highest temperatures will be reached on Thursday and Friday, but meteorologists are now predicting that it will only be slightly cooler on Saturday.

For the moment, Energy savings by the public were not required by the California Independent System Operator, which manages about 80 percent of the state's power grid. However, the situation is being closely monitored.

“The power grid is currently stable and energy supplies are expected to be sufficient to meet demand,” said Anne Gonzales, spokeswoman for CA-ISO. “There are currently no Flex Alerts planned, but we ask Californians to be ready in case we need to call for voluntary conservation.”
