Krispy Kreme is giving away free doughnuts – if you dress appropriately. What you should know

Krispy Kreme is celebrating Barbie's birthday with free doughnuts as long as you wear the fashion icon's favorite color.

Customers who wear pink at participating Krispy Kreme stores on Saturday, Sept. 7, can receive a free Original Glazed doughnut, according to the North Carolina-based doughnut chain.

Free gift is limited to one per person and no purchase is necessary.

The one-day offer coincides with the new Barbie x Krispy Kreme collection, which celebrates the doll brand's 65th anniversary, according to a press release.

The limited-time assortment includes four new Barbie-inspired donuts:

  • Barbie Pink Donut

  • Malibu Dream Party Donut

  • Barbie Berries n' Kreme Donut

  • Barbie Sweet Donut for the 65th

“We’re bringing Barbie’s iconic fashion to life through delicious doughnuts that will delight both Barbie and Krispy Kreme fans,” said Dave Skena, global chief brand officer of Krispy Kreme, in a press release.
