Edie Falco's joke about the flop of Avatar 2 bothered James Cameron

Edie Falco recently said she had no idea what was going on with the Nurse Jackie Revitalization of development, because “You give me a script and I do my job. What happens before that, I don't understand at all, and that's what's happening now.” (Falco not only stars in the series, but is also an executive producer.) The point of the story was to emphasize that “I'm a sucker,” she jokes, but Cameron and the studio weren't getting it: “I got a lot of calls from a lot of very important people.”

“I do these things, I do the work, I say goodbye to everyone and then I'm done,” she repeats. “Then I move on to the next thing. I have no idea what happens to things when I'm done.” She is passionate about acting, but “watching has nothing to do with me.” She adds: “Things may or may not come out. They do well or they disappear. They go straight to video or nobody finishes them. I have no idea because often it has no impact on my life. My part of what I do is done.” Falco will be seen again as General Ardmore in Avatar: Fire and Ashes.
