“I feel like I'm losing friends,” complains a fan about the cancellation of Daily Blast Live – the last episode will air in a few days

A POPULAR live news broadcast will air for the final time in a few days as fans mourn the end of the weekday talk show.

In June, media company Tegna confirmed that production of Daily Blast Live would cease in September, after its initial launch in 2015.

The last broadcast is reportedly scheduled for September 6th.

As the final broadcast approaches, fans flooded the news channel's social media accounts with words of love and sadness.

“I will miss you all. I feel like I'm losing friends,” one viewer wrote on Facebook.

“I've come to rely on your show for current events and meaningful topics. And most of the time, I agree with Al. I'm really going to miss his perspective.”

“I HATE, HATE you guys going off the air,” wrote another.

“You are the joy of the afternoon. I wish you all the best! I don't look forward to the future without you.”

A third chimed in, commenting: “I look forward to your show so much every day. I will be lost. All the best to you all.”

“It breaks my heart that you’re quitting,” said another.

“I love each and every one of you. May you have a wonderful future. God bless you.”

“I will miss you all so much! I have watched the show every day since I retired four years ago,” wrote another Facebook user.

Fans of “Impractical Jokers” fear the show will be canceled after 13 years and rant after the group's cryptic post: “I don't like this!”

“You all make me smile.”

Some harshly criticized Tegna for canceling the show. One Facebook user wrote, “I'm horrified that your show is ending! We discovered your show a few years ago and loved it.”

“Another bad decision by management.”

Daily Blast Live features six main hosts, including former CNN journalist Sam Schacher, reality TV star Jeff Schroeder, fashion expert Stefanie Jones, longtime journalist Erica Cobb, and stand-up comedians Al Jackson and Tory Shulman.

The show aired live three times a day Monday through Friday from 12:30-1:00 p.m., 2:00-6:00 p.m. and 7:30-8:00 p.m.

The talk show aired on dozens of Tenga-owned TV stations across the country, as well as on Facebook and YouTube.

We'd like to thank our incredibly talented presenters and production team for bringing daytime viewers seven seasons of high energy, humorous and insightful debate.

Tenga

When Tenga announced the show's cancellation in June, he thanked the hosts and staff for their hard work.

“Daily Blast Live will be discontinued after the final show of this season on Friday, September 6,” the company said in a statement.

“We would like to thank our incredibly talented on-air talent and production team for bringing daytime viewers seven seasons of high energy, humorous and profound debate.

“We look forward to celebrating DBL’s best moments in the coming months before the show concludes.”

Tenga did not reveal the exact reason for cancelling the talk show at the time. According to the Radio and Television Business Report, he spoke of a “business decision”.

Shortly after the announcement, thousands of fans joined forces and started a petition to keep the talk show on the air.

“Over the past seven years, DBL has become an integral part of the lives of many viewers,” says the description of the change petition.

“The unique mix of current topics, insightful discussions and different viewpoints sets the show apart from other programs.”

“The hosts have become like a family and offer not only information but also comfort and a sense of community.”

Several supporters of the show posted videos explaining why they wanted to continue watching Daily Beast Live, and over 9,600 people signed the petition.

However, social media posts from regular guests indicate that the talk show is expected to air its final episode next week.

Kimmy Seltzer, an expert who frequently appears on the show, announced Tuesday that she had filmed her final segment before the final broadcast.

“And that's it… a bittersweet segment on @DailyBlastLIVE as the last episode before the show ends,” she wrote in a post to X.

“Thank you for letting me be a part of this and spread the love.”
