Today on Pinstripe Alley – 05.09.24

After a day off to restart, the Yankees are getting back to work and trying to put the mediocrity of the past few weeks behind them. If we think positively, the series in Chicago this week should be entertaining, as the team is playing at Wrigley Field for the first time since 2017. This was a spectacular series for the Yankees, with a ninth-inning comeback in the opening game and an incredible marathon 18-inning victory in the finale that marked a series win. Let's hope for a similar result (preferably with fewer innings total).

Chicago will have matinees all weekend, starting with this afternoon's matchup between Luis Gil and Jordan Wicks. Before the game, you can see Matt's preview of the series, as well as Matt's recap of a casual Thursday of AL action. Later, John will deliver the latest entry in the 1999 Yankees diary, Smith and Madison will deliver the answers to this week's mailbag.
