Kroger app and website are back online after an outage

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Kroger's app and website appear to be back online after an hours-long outage.

A banner stating that there was a “temporary” issue was removed from the franchise's app and website.

Due to the outage, customers were no longer able to order groceries online or in advance.

App users may have received a pop-up error or notification about a long loading time.

Several customers contacted Kroger about the issue via X (formerly known as Twitter). Kroger responded, calling it an unexpected outage.

The outage also affected Kroger's family businesses such as Fred Meyer and Ralph's.

It is not yet known what caused the problem.
