Friday HS recap: Auburn, Mountain Brook and Scottsboro score one-point wins

Auburn High School's Alex Gamston deflected a pass and intercepted it with less than two minutes left to help the Tigers to a 28-21 victory over rival Opelika on Friday night at Duck Samford Stadium.

Auburn's Omar Mabson ran 22 times for 176 yards and two touchdowns, and Josh Askew caught seven passes for 147 yards and a touchdown for the Tigers (3-0 overall, 1-0 in Class 7A, Region 2). Quarterback Jackson Kilgore finished the game completing 19 of 28 passes for 268 yards and a touchdown.
