Mega Millions jackpot rises to $800 million after no top prize winner

The Mega Millions Jackpot rose to an estimated $800 million after not a single ticket had the correct winning numbers in Friday night's drawing.

The winning numbers drawn on Friday were 6, 23, 41, 59 and 63 with a Mega number of 25. The Megaplier was 2X.

No one won the $740 million jackpot on Friday night, but five players – one each from California, Florida, Illinois, New Hampshire and Texas – matched all five white balls and won $1 million, while another player from Ohio matched all five white balls and won $2 million using the optional Megaplier.

The next Mega Millions drawing will take place on Tuesday, when players will try to win the estimated $800 million top prize, which is a Cash payment option of 401.8 million US dollars.

It would be the seventh-largest prize if won on Tuesday.

Winners typically choose the cash prize rather than the annuity, which is paid out in one lump sum and then in 29 annual payments.

The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 302,575,350, depending on the game.

The Mega Millions jackpot was last won on June 4, when a player from Illinois matched all six numbers to take home the $552 million prize, the 10th largest jackpot in the game's history.
