Shared by popular Instagram page 'IIT Meme Cell', the clip shows a hilarious moment from an IIT Kanpur classroom that has left viewers both nostalgic and entertained.

In the video, titled “Guy tries to be late for class at IIT Kanpur,” a student sneaks into a lecture hall through a side door, hoping to go unnoticed. While he tries to blend in with the crowd, his stealthy intrusion quickly attracts the attention of his amused classmates, whose giggles give the situation away.

The professor notices the commotion and turns to the class with a smile. “Has anything else happened that I haven't noticed?” he asks with a knowing grin. The students respond with loud laughter and words of agreement. The professor doesn't notice the boy hiding behind a wall and continues, “Someone came into the classroom, is that right?” Just as the tension reaches its peak, the boy quickly flees, leaving the whole room groaning with laughter.

A user named Sai Aditya, who claimed to have been present during the class, commented, “We were supposed to be inside by 4:05 pm. The lecturer jokes about monitoring the doors and this situation was no different. The entire lecture hall is visible to him and no one escapes his gaze.”

Another user, Amala, recalled humorously: “I used to check the attendance list for myself and two others in different tones of voice when they were absent. Then we always left through the back door!”
