Massachusetts man faces aggravated murder charge in April death of girlfriend

A 20-year-old man was charged with aggravated murder this week after his 17-year-old girlfriend was found dead in a central Massachusetts home last April. Naveah Goddard was found dead in a home on Great Road in Stow on April 5, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office. Shane Curry, 20, of Stow, was charged this week with Goddard's first-degree murder. He had previously been charged with battery on a household or family member and battery with a dangerous weapon with great bodily injury. On April 5, Stow police responded to the home after receiving a request for a well-being check. Officers found Nevaeh in Curry's bedroom with obvious signs of injury. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Prosecutors said Curry stabbed Goddard during a physical altercation. Curry was arraigned on the murder charge on Wednesday and was held without bail.
