Seattle Mariners outfielder goes viral on Friday night with great photo

We get so caught up in standings, statistics and contracts that we forget that baseball is a game. It is a great game that often fascinated us as children and provided lifelong memories.

Seattle Mariners star Randy Arozarena didn't forget that on Friday night when he gave a young M's fan the thrill of a lifetime by posing for a photo at Busch Stadium before the Mariners played the Cardinals.

Arozarena not only posed for the picture, he also did the “Randy pose” with the young fan. The @MLB account posted the picture on its “X” channel:

Arozarena was signed this summer in a trade deadline deal with the Tampa Bay Rays and will try to help the M's make the playoffs for the second time in three years. Seattle enters Saturday's game at 72-70 and 4.5 games back of the American League West and the American League Wild Card.

Seattle beat the Cardinals 6-1 on Friday night, with Arozarena hitting 1-for-4 with a single and a sacrifice fly. This season, he has just a .218 batting average between Tampa Bay and Seattle. He has 18 home runs, 50 RBIs and 20 steals. He has two years left on his contract, but it's questionable whether the Mariners will keep him in the offseason or trade him as a cost-saving measure.

If he stays, he will likely give Mariners fans many more memories like this.

Seattle will face the Cardinals again on Saturday night, with first pitch at 5:15 p.m. PT.
