The shooting occurred at the couple's home in the 30W0-100 block of Mulberry Court. Warrenville police and the DuPage County District Attorney's Office have released few details about the homicide investigation.

A neighbor who asked not to be identified said the couple has three young children. It is unclear whether the children are staying with family members.

A message on Warrenville's official Facebook page simply said that police are “currently investigating an isolated incident that occurred (Thursday) in the Mulberry Court area… as this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide any details at this time.”

The DuPage County Coroner's Office has not released Neumann's manner or cause of death.

According to court records, Kramer has no prior criminal record in DuPage County. He has a traffic violation from 2007 and was cited for speeding by Warrenville police two days before the shooting.
