Utah football begins its stay in the Big 12 this week as it faces an opponent it will get to know quite well in the coming years.

The 11th-ranked Utes (1-0) host the Baylor Bears at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. Although both teams are now part of the Big 12, the game is not a conference game as it is the second leg of a home-and-away series that began at Baylor last season.

Utah, which was projected to win the Big 12 in the conference's preseason poll, enters Saturday's game 1-0 after beating Southern Utah 49-0 in Week 1 of the season last week. Behind quarterback Cameron Rising, who finished with 254 passing yards and five touchdowns in Week 1, the Utes climbed two spots from No. 13 in the US LBM Coaches Poll this week.
