Paralympics 2024 in Paris | Para Equestrian: Versailles says goodbye to the games with music

Almost one and a half months have passed since the first Olympic event in Palace of Versailles on July 27. This Saturday, September 7, Para-equestrian freestyle events with musical interludes mark the end of an incredibly sporty summer in Versailles.

The competition venue, the Palace of Versailles, is incomparable to any other. Nestled in the lush gardensfar away from the city, Riders and their horses enter the stage in this tranquil setting. While the 2024 Games in Paris were characterized by passionate crowds, the atmosphere in Versailles was different. Fans adapted by waving their hands in the air instead of clapping, creating a calm atmosphere. Between competitions, spectators expressed their joy with cheers, dancing and applause.

Music was the focus of today's events. From classical to contemporary and even original compositions, a wide range of musical styles filled Versailles. Some drivers added personal touches, such as Sweden’s Louise Etzner-Jakobssonwho performed with ABBA, and France's Alexia Pittierwho chose “For me formidable” by Charles Aznavour.
