Nicole Kidman announces the death of her mother Janelle

Nicole Kidman mourns her mother Janelle Ann Kidman.

The actress announced her mother’s death at the age of 84 through a statement in which she said: Halina Rejnwho staged it BabygirlShe read it on stage at the Venice Film Festival on September 6, when she accepted the Star's award for Best Actress.

“I arrived in Venice today and learned shortly after that my beautiful, brave mother Janelle Ann Kidman has just passed away,” Nicole said in a statement. “I am in shock and need to be with my family.”

The statement continued: “But this award is for her. She shaped me, she guided me and she created me. I am eternally grateful that through Halina I can say her name to all of you. The collision of life and art is heartbreaking and my heart is broken.”

Janelle’s cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.

Nicole's mother, who worked as a nursing instructor, had suffered from health problems in recent years. In 2022, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Oscar winner said she returned to her family's homeland of Australia to be with her mother.
