First college touchdown for Meridian graduate Daniel Hill

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama (WTOK) – Big day for Meridian High graduate Daniel Hill on Saturday in Alabama's season opener against Western Kentucky.

Hill not only played running back several times, but also scored his first college touchdown as a member of the Crimson Tide.

Several talented young players played in the home opener and will develop into great players for Alabama.

Here Kalen DeBoer talks about younger players like Hill on the roster.

“It's really exciting, you know, it gives you a lot of hope for the future and, you know, when you think about these guys, they're getting more and more confident with everything they're doing, game by game, and those reps tonight, you know, they're all important. And I tell the guys, we're getting better as a team with every rep, but there are certain guys. Like the ones you mentioned, Daniel and you know Ryan, a lot of other Zabien that just went out there and the light just didn't shine too brightly for them. And that's really cool. And they've been stepping up day by day. They're just getting better and better and they're going to be great players for us in the long run,” DeBoer said.
