Fans will be treated to an exciting battle between Tua Tagovaliloa of the Dolphins and Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars.

The Dolphins were very inconsistent last season, as the offense was solid at times, but defensive issues caused the team to lose its lead in the AFC East, allowing the Buffalo Bills to take first place in the division while Miami had to settle for sixth in the conference, losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round. Many are hoping this year's Finns can get things under control and push for a good playoff spot.

Jacksonville had those expectations after a respectable run in 2022 before last season. However, a season-ending injury to Lawrence left the team in disarray. Although Jacksonville fought hard in the final weeks of the season, they failed to make two straight playoff appearances, falling to a record of 9-8 and missing out on a postseason spot due to a tiebreaker. With the AFC South quietly one of the tightest divisions in the league, it's not a sure thing that the Jags will win the South this year.

This is only the 12th meeting between the Sunshine State rivals. Jacksonville has six wins over Miami, including the last meeting in 2021.

MY CHOICE: Dolphins win 27-24
