Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are the new parents in town. The couple announced the birth of their first child – a baby girl – in a social media post on Sunday. The couple shared a joint post with a note that simply read, “Welcome baby girl. 9/8/2024. Deepika and Ranveer.” The couple, whose relationship began on the sets of Ram Leela in 2013 and married in 2018, announced their pregnancy earlier this year.

According to News 18, the actress is on maternity leave till March 2025. A source familiar with the development told the portal, “Deepika and Ranveer are eagerly awaiting the next chapter of their lives and are busy setting up a place for their baby. Right now, Deepika is enjoying every second of her time off from work.”

The source added, “Her maternity leave will last till March next year. And after that, she will immediately start shooting for the sequel to Kalki along with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Prabhas.”

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are also gearing up to move into a new luxury apartment in Bandra, which is next to Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat residence. A viral video revealed that the construction is nearing completion. The new apartment is an opulent sea-facing four-storey unit next to Mannat. Deepika and Ranveer are expected to move into their new home once it is completed.

The latest video update shows that the apartment is nearing completion. According to Money Control, the couple's residence will span floors 16 to 19 and will offer a generous 11,266 square feet of living space and an additional 1,300 square feet of private terrace. The building, which is still under construction, is located just a short distance from Shah Rukh Khan's bungalow and offers impressive views of the sea and the Bandstand Promenade.

Professionally, Deepika has had a busy few years, most recently in films such as PAthaan, Jawan, FighterAnd Kalki 2898 AD. It will appear in Singham againwhich is scheduled to release during Diwali.

Ranveer Singh is currently working on Aditya Dhar's upcoming spy thriller, which also stars Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Akshaye Khanna.
