Week 2 of the 2024 college football season promises to be an insightful slate of games for the SEC.

No. 3 Texas will be part of the top game on the national schedule on Saturday when it plays defending national champion Michigan on the road in the early television window. No. 12 Tennessee will face No. 23 North Carolina State in Charlotte in a non-conference neutral-site game. No. 4 Alabama will face South Florida, the American Athletic Conference team it nearly lost to last year. Arkansas, controversial coach Sam Pittman and new offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino have a chance to beat No. 17 Oklahoma State in Stillwater.
