Crime in Houston, Texas: Passersby apparently injured in road rage incident

Witnesses told police that two trucks raced into the parking lot and fired shots before driving away.

HOUSTON – Two people were injured Saturday night when gunfire erupted in an apparent incident of driving aggression in a southeast Houston parking lot, police said.

This happened around 9:15 p.m. in Gragg Park on Telephone Road.

Witnesses told Houston police that two trucks sped into the parking lot and fired shots before driving away. Two bystanders were hit in the shooting – one in the leg and one in the torso. Police said the victims drove home in their own vehicle and called for help. Houston Fire Department took them to a nearby hospital, where they are expected to recover.

While investigators were working at the scene, they were flagged down by another person claiming that their vehicle had bullet holes.

Police did not have a description of the suspects; they only said they were driving trucks.
