Matt Hardy names AEW star who should retire Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has made it clear that his days as a full-time wrestler are coming to an end, and Matt Hardy has an idea who should retire the American Dragon.

Danielson announced last year that he was entering his final year as a full-time talent to fulfill a promise to his family.

In a recent episode of his podcast “The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy,” Matt Hardy expressed an idea about who should finish off Danielson. He said:

“I think Hangman [Page] will be great as a heel. He was obviously so vicious. He was such an asshole, just a really vicious, horrible human being. I would love to see that if he was the guy that actually retired Danielson, took the title away from him, whatever, and you could build back on the Swerve thing and I think there would already be automatic justice in that if they did that.”

At AEW All Out 2024, Page defeated Swerve Strickland in a Lights Out Steel Cage match, which headlined the Hoffman Estates pay-per-view event.

On the show, Danielson also defended the AEW World Championship against Jack Perry. After the match, he was attacked by Jon Moxley.
