Chicago Crime: Woman with CCL shoots intruder in South Shore during attempted burglary on 69th Street, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — A woman shot and killed a man Saturday night who tried to break into her home, according to Chicago police.

It happened in a house in the 2300 block of East 69th Street in the South Shore neighborhood.

At around 10:45 p.m., police reported that a man had attempted to break into a house.

A woman with a concealed carry permit saw him and shot the suspect in the leg.

When Chicago police arrived, they found the 36-year-old male suspect with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was taken to hospital and is expected to recover.

No further injuries were reported.

CPD Area One detectives are investigating the case as an attempted burglary.
