Orlando Brown Jr. praises Joe Burrow highly before the Bengals' opening game

CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is two days away from making his first regular-season appearance since suffering a season-ending wrist injury last year.

The 27-year-old hopes to lead the Bengals to their first season-opening win since 2021.

Bengals star left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. believes Burrow has a big year ahead of him.

“The intensity and focus that I've seen from him on a daily basis… His approach from the moment he got hurt to now – he's ready. He's been ready,” Brown said during our season preview show Cincinnati Bengals Talk. “I don't want to put too much into words because I don't want to spoil it for you, but man, I think the Joe Burrow that people are going to see this year is a different Joe Burrow than people have seen in the past… in a better way.”

Burrow has led the Bengals to two division titles, an AFC Championship and an AFC Championship Game appearance. He hopes to lead Cincinnati to the World Championship this season, and his mindset, attitude and approach have set the tone for the entire Bengals locker room.

Brown spent the entire offseason in Cincinnati, watching Burrow tackle rehab – not only trying to get back to his old self, but also working to get even better this season.

This is something that will be truly tested for the first time on Sunday against the Patriots.
