I saw Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and have to talk about the death of Catherine O'Hara's character

There are many deaths in Beetle juice, it's his thing somehow. I understand that. However, the loss of loved ones is usually not played down. In Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, that's made clear, until it's not. The deaths of Delia's husband Charles and Astrid's father Richard (Lydia's ex-husband) are mourned and are a major plot point in the film. When Delia herself dies, it's almost dismissed and portrayed as a joke. With that in mind, I think we should take a minute to talk about the death of Catherine O'Hara's character in Tim Burton's sequel, because she deserved better.
