Jalen Nailor catches a 21-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter

The Vikings came into their own in the third quarter, leading the New York Giants 14-3 at halftime, Sam Darnold and Minnesota stormed down the field and scored a touchdown.

Aaron Jones had two runs of over 10 yards and then Darnold continued his good start by finding Jalen Nailor for a 21-yard touchdown. It was a great play by head coach Kevin O'Connell. He used Justin Jefferson as a decoy on the right side of the field. Darnold feinted to Jefferson, the Giants defensive backs bit, and Darnold made a perfect pass into Nailor's arms.

The Giants then took possession and scored a field goal, but the Vikings defense continued to play good football and gave Daniel Jones trouble in the pocket.

Sam Darnold doesn't seem to be done yet either, though, so look for more posts throughout the rest of the game as we're sure the Vikings offense has more work to do.
