Crews work to repair gas leak in University City – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE – In one part of Charlotte, people may notice a smell of gas Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., the Charlotte Fire Department tweeted that our crews were working to repair a six-inch leak in a gas line at the corner of Cameron Blvd and Chancellor's Place.

According to officials, you may smell natural gas if you are on North Tryon / Harris Blvd or at UNC Charlotte.

According to the fire department, there is currently no damage to the population.

The teams continue to work on site to find a solution.
