Who is Alix Earle's boyfriend? Everything about NFL player Braxton Berrios

Alix Earle may have kept her relationship a secret at first, but since the two confirmed they were officially together in November 2023, she has made her love for Braxton Barrios public.

The TikTok creator began touting her relationship with “NFL Man” in March 2023, but it wasn't until November that Earle called Berrios her boyfriend. Since then, Earle has been open about her life with Berrios, posting glimpses of their travels and dates together on her TikTok and Instagram.

In the summer of 2024, the two took a trip to Venice to attend the wedding of Berrios' friend, and Berrios spent time with Earle in Montauk before flying back to Miami for training camp with the Miami Dolphins, for whom he plays wide receiver.

Berrios grew up in North Carolina but calls Miami his home

Berrios grew up in Raleigh, NC, where he attended Leesville Road High School. Although he had offers from a number of famous football schools such as Ohio State University and Clemson University, he chose to play for the University of Miami, an hour away from Homestead, Florida, where his father grew up, he said Forbes in July 2024.

Berrios said he grew up a fan of both the Dolphins and the Miami Hurricanes, and when he was drafted first by the New England Patriots and then the New York Jets, he joked that his father had to switch sides.

“My father's whole family is from here,” Berrios said of Miami. “You can imagine my father was very happy when I was called up to New England.”

He continued, “But he was like, 'Oh, I have to root for my Dolphins.' And then I went to the Jets and my family rooted for the Dolphins. When I signed with Miami, I came full circle. And this is my home.”

He is a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins.

The wide receiver first entered the NFL in 2018 when he was selected in the sixth round by the Patriots. In his first year in the league, Berrios was placed on the injured list and did not play a single game, but still won a Super Bowl ring after the Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams in February 2019.

Berrios was released during the final roster cuts in 2019 and signed by the Jets. He played for the team for four seasons before signing a two-year, $12 million contract in March 2022. However, a year later, the Jets released Berrios and the following week he signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins.

“I have not [expect it]”, said Berrios Forbes. “But that's part of the business – you learn not to have so many expectations – as sad as that is – and you're loyal to the team you work on and sometimes they deliver on that loyalty and sometimes they don't.”

Now, he said, he believes the move “worked out,” and he re-signed with the team in March 2024.

He and Earle met for the first time at a party in February 2023

In the December 2023 episode of Hot messEarle said she and Berrios first met at a party in Miami in February 2023.

“He's super cool, super nice and two weeks later I get invited to the Super Bowl,” she said.

However, he had just ended a two-year relationship with Sophia Culpo, which made Earle insecure, according to the author, so that in February “nothing really happened between them” and they were just friendly.

Berrios then officially asked Earle out on a date in March and surprised her with a helicopter ride over Miami.

In 2023, rumors circulated about their relationship

When Earle began gossiping online about her and Berrios' alleged relationship – even though she clarified in the comments of her TikToks that he was not her “boyfriend” and they were not officially together – drama ensued between her, Berrios and Culpo.

Culpo confirmed her and Berrios' split in March and apparently hinted in June that the football player had cheated on her with Earle.

Berrios broke his silence on the situation in his Instagram stories in June, after remaining silent because it was “not at all his style” to “talk publicly about his private life.”

“I don't want to start anything. I don't want to stir anything up. I really want this to be over and everyone to move on and do what makes them happy,” Berrios said. He added that the relationship was “good” and “healthy” but “towards the end” it “didn't work out” and there was no other reason for his split from Culpo.

Earle later also denied that Berrios Culpo had cheated with her, in an episode of Alex Cooper's Call her daddy Podcast. She said reading the comments after Culpo accused her of being an adulteress was “triggering” and caused her to “cry her eyes out at her friends.”

Earle added that she confronted Berrios about the situation “probably 110 times” because she knew if he could do it to another person, he could do it to her.

“I asked for the receipts,” she said. “I was probably even crazier than she was. I thought, 'This can't be true.' I checked everything.”

Earle confirmed that the two will officially be together in November 2023

Although the two made their public debut when they walked the ESPYs red carpet together in July 2023, Earle and Berrios were “not exclusive” at the time.

“Perhaps in traditional Hollywood parlance this could be interpreted as a 'rough start' to a relationship, but it wasn't that at all,” a source told PEOPLE. “Both have continued to take it easy. The two have always been on the same page that it was neither exclusive nor official.”

However, in November 2023, Earle officially confirmed that the two had given their relationship a name and were together.

They are close to each other’s families

Even before making their relationship official, Berrios and Earle grew closer with their families.

In September 2023, Earle shared in a TikTok that she met Berrios' mother for the first time when she attended one of his Dolphins games. However, the meeting didn't go quite as she had planned.

After Berrios' mother encouraged her to eat, Earle said she “stuffed” the food into her mouth, but then, as she laughed, “the ham spat out of my mouth and across the room.”

Berrios has also developed a close bond with Earle's family, as she frequently posts videos of him spending time with her parents and younger siblings. In a June 2024 TikTok, she even shared that she took Berrios to Wisconsin to meet her grandmother.

They support each other in their careers

Earle became a fixture in stadiums at Berrios' games during the 2023 NFL season and appears to be on track to do so again in 2024. In an August 2024 TikTok, Earle recounted how she surprised Berrios by dressing up as him, in his full jersey and gear.

She posted another TikTok of his reaction after FaceTimeing him and showing him the look, which he called “the most amazing thing I've ever seen.”

Berrios also supports Earle's career and understands that she is working when she has to be on the phone. In an interview with FanDuel TV in December 2023 Up & AdamsBerrios said the two help each other.

“She does a great job of doing her job and then putting the phone down and doing everything else,” he explained. “Then when she picks up the phone, I completely understand her job.”
