NFL's best plays: Live updates, highlights, scores from Browns-Cowboys

Tom Brady will make his commentary debut when the Cleveland Browns host the Dallas Cowboys in “America's Game of the Week” on FOX.

Brady previewed the game in an exclusive video on Saturday, including why Week 1 is a challenge for every team. You can watch the video here.

But Brady's first game isn't the only storyline leading up to this epic clash. Here are some others:

— Cowboys QB Dak Prescott will take the field in Cleveland just hours after signing a four-year, $240 million contract extension with $231 million guaranteed. At $60 million per year, it is the most lucrative contract in NFL history and prevents Prescott from becoming an unrestricted free agent next offseason, when he potentially could have received an even bigger contract on the open market.

— Prescott won't be the only Cowboys star playing under a new contract Sunday. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has made it clear he's ready for any stress after missing all of training camp because of a contract pause. Lamb received a four-year, $136 million contract, just under Minnesota's Justin Jefferson's $140 million deal. Now Lamb begins working on a repeat of his breakout season. He led the NFL with 135 catches and had 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 25-year-old has improved his numbers in all three categories in each of his first four seasons.

— Browns QB Deshaun Watson is expected to play for the first time since breaking a bone in his right shoulder in November. Watson underwent surgery and finished his second season with Cleveland after just six games. While Watson was disappointing, he finished the season on a high note, completing all 14 passes in a second-half comeback win at Baltimore despite his injury.

— RB Ezekiel Elliott was expected to start for Dallas when the two-time rushing champion returns. Elliott spent 2023 with New England after Dallas released its third-leading rusher as a cost-cutting measure.
