Former Navy SEAL who killed Osama Bin Laden sues Texas hotel over…

Former Navy SEAL Rob O’Neillknown for the shot that killed Osama Bin Laden, is suing a Texas Hotel for an alleged altercation with a security guard and claimed the incident never happened. O'Neill filed a lawsuit suit against the Omni Hotel in Frisco, Texas, after he was accused of assaulting security guard Johnny Lee Loomis in August 2023, the NY Post reported.
O'Neill was accused of using a racial slur during the altercation, which allegedly occurred while he was drunk, and was charged with assault and public intoxication. However, the Collin County District Attorney's Office has reportedly not publicly stated whether it will pursue the charges.
In the lawsuit filed on August 14, O'Neill claims the allegations have damaged his reputation and business, including his speaking engagements, which he relied heavily on. He stated that his once successful speaking career has declined significantly since the incident. O'Neill is seeking more than $75,000 in punitive damages for emotional distress, lost business opportunities and damage to his reputation.
O'Neill denies the allegations, saying he had a drink after a long day and fell asleep at the hotel bar. He claims he encountered Loomis on the way to his room, but did not touch him or use any racial slurs. O'Neill expressed confusion about the allegations, particularly the accusation of racist misconduct, calling it “silly” given the circumstances, Fox News reported.
The lawsuit also accuses the hotel of hiring Loomis despite his alleged violent past and false accusations. O'Neill said the security guard fabricated the allegations, which had a lasting impact on his personal and professional life.
