The connection with Dak Prescott has never been better in the NFL. The two of them will have to hit the ground running against Cleveland. And although they haven't thrown at each other until recently, Prescott is convinced that the two weeks of work have been more than enough.

“He's getting better. We've had two weeks to get him back in. Of course he was in shape, but on the field, defenders are breathing down his neck trying to catch him in tight windows. He's ready,” Prescott said.

“I mean, he's an elite player. Just turn on the film from last year and you'll see that. He's gotten better. So right now it's just about going out there and showing it for both of us.”

Lamb has been everywhere in season openers throughout his career. His best performance came in 2021, when he caught seven passes for 104 yards and a touchdown on 15 receptions against Tampa Bay. And then there was last season in a blowout win over the Giants, where he posted a quiet 77 yards on four receptions.

Prescott hopes to show more of the former against Cleveland to start a crucial year with a 1-0 record.
