Rob Havenstein and Brennan Jackson out against the Lions

The Los Angeles Rams will officially open the season without their two offensive tackles. Rob Havenstein is inactive and will not play on Sunday night against the Detroit Lions.

Havenstein has been battling an ankle injury since training camp and is not ready to return. Havenstein was the only player with an injury report coming into this game, so the team's other inactive players are all healthy holdouts.

Cody Schrader, Brennan Jackson, Elias Neal and Desjuan Johnson are also inactive and will not play in the opening game against the Lions. Rookie linebacker Omar Speights is active, as Les Snead said, so he will play tonight in Detroit.

There are no real surprises on the Lions side. Ifeatu Melifonwu is the most notable inactive player. Defensive tackle DJ Reader is also out for this game.
