Humidity will remain low and conditions will remain calm into the evening and night hours. Minimum temperatures are expected to drop to 10 to 12 degrees Celsius.

Tuesday:

The warming trend will continue through mid-week. Humidity will remain low Tuesday afternoon, but temperatures will again be above average. Highs should be around 30 degrees Tuesday afternoon.

Need rain on the go?

We could see some much-needed rain again late in the week and into the weekend, thanks to a tropical system currently over the Gulf of Mexico. This tropical system will likely make landfall in Texas midweek and eventually spread across the Midwest toward the end of the week. As tropical systems typically do, it could potentially bring some heavy rain, which wouldn't be a bad thing in our area since we're pretty dry. The best rain chances right now are Friday afternoon and evening, but some of the rain could linger into Saturday and possibly even Sunday. Seven-day precipitation estimates say the southern half of the state and then south of the Ohio River will see the heaviest rains.

7-day forecast:

In the meantime, temperatures should return to near-normal levels by the weekend and early next week, with highs around 27 degrees Celsius, thanks to the approaching tropical system.
