Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua left Sunday night's game against the Detroit Lions and will not return due to a knee injury.

Nacua was originally listed as questionable after suffering the injury on a 6-yard catch with 6:36 left in the second quarter. He was not hit on the play and eventually returned to the field just before halftime.

However, at halftime, Nacua was taken to the dressing room and ruled out for the rest of the game.

Nacua, 23, had four catches for 35 yards before his night was over.

In 17 games (all starts) last season, Nacua set a rookie record with 105 catches for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns.

Sunday was the season opener for the Rams, who had a 10-7 record last season.
