Beyoncé and Jay-Z take Blue Ivy to their former assistant's wedding

Beyonce spent some quality time with family at her former personal assistant's wedding over the weekend.

The 43-year-old singer of “Single Ladies” attended the wedding of Sam Greenberg in Nantucket, Massachusetts on Saturday, September 7, with her husband, Jay Z54, and eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter12, in tow.

In a snap posted on Saturday, September 8, via X, the trio can be seen in public at a property on the exclusive island.

Additionally, in a video posted on X the same day, Jay-Z can be seen smiling and waving at the camera while his wife, wearing a floor-length floral dress, chats with nearby guests, apparently including the bride.

Blue Ivy chose a short, bright red dress for the event, wore her hair down and combined her look with dark sunglasses.

The singer of “Empire State of Mind” meanwhile wore a cream-colored suit with a white shirt underneath.

The Nantucket celebration came just days after Beyoncé's 43rd birthday. To mark the occasion on Wednesday, September 4, the “Halo” singer took to Instagram on Saturday to share a carousel of photos of herself relaxing in style with Jay-Z. One photo even shows Beyoncé holding a bunch of colorful balloons.

“I'm so grateful for another year,” she captioned the post. “Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes.”

The birthday tribute comes at a time when Blue Ivy is making her own mark on the world, away from the spotlight of her famous parents.

On 17 August Tina Knowles told E! News that she was “blown away” by the musical talent of her granddaughters.

“I'm really, really proud of her,” Tina, 70, told the outlet. “I can't wait for the world to really know.”

Beyoncé's mother added that Blue Ivy made her “swear secrecy” and not reveal anything else about her budding creative talents, but the doting grandmother couldn't resist sharing more insight.

“She is self-taught and sounds like a concert pianist,” said Tina. “She paints, she draws, she writes poetry. She is simply an artistic soul.”

Tina added that Beyoncé and Jay-Z's other two children, seven-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, have developed their own passions.

“Rumi is a natural little star,” Tina told the outlet, adding that Rumi “will not be denied” a spot on stage. Sir, on the other hand, “is more interested in books and electronics,” Tina noted.
