Northridge High in Greeley closed due to social media threats against school – Greeley Tribune

Northridge High School in Greeley is closed today due to a potential threat against the school circulating on social media.

According to a Facebook post from the school, school officials are working with police but have not been able to locate the person behind the threat, prompting the school at 7001 Grizzly Drive to close out of an abundance of caution.

“The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority,” the post said. “Anyone who makes a threat against a school, even if it is false or intended as a joke, will face serious felony charges and serious disciplinary action from the school.”

The school encourages parents to talk to their children about the seriousness of threats and the possible consequences.

If someone or their children learn of threats against a school or person, call the police at 911 or the Safe2Tell hotline at 1-877-542-SAFE (7233).
