Phillip Hughes falls to his knees and screams while being arrested for incident at Exit/In – Scoop: Nashville



Phillip Hughes, 37, was involved in a domestic dispute at Exit/In on September 7. When officers made contact with Hughes, they reported that he smelled of alcohol and his behavior was highly erratic. They also noted that he was sweating profusely and may have been under the influence of drugs. After the victim of the domestic incident was transported to another location, Hughes began yelling at the manager of Exit/In.

After the incident, Hughes was offered medical attention and transportation to another location, but he refused any assistance. Officers concluded that Hughes was a danger to himself and others and took him into custody. During the arrest, Hughes fell to his knees and began screaming and crying. Hughes was charged with public intoxication on September 8.

Phillip A. Hughes was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on September 8, charged with public intoxication. A corrections commissioner set his bail at $100.
