The Talk opens the farewell season with a celebratory musical opening (exclusive)

The conversation The co-hosts will celebrate with song as the CBS daytime drama begins its farewell season on Monday, September 9.

PEOPLE exclusively premieres the Season 15 opening credits, featuring co-hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O'Connell and Sheryl Underwood singing in a musical montage to the tune of Bill Withers' 1977 chart hit “Lovely Day.”

Director: David Wain (Wet hot American summer, Role models), the opening shows each of the presenters celebrating their individual passion as they enter the studio lot.

O'Connell, 50, arrives in a vintage car, while Kloots, 42, rides a bicycle and Gbajabiamila, 45, sticks to jogging. As they move through the colorful chaos backstage, Underwood, 60, appears on a luxurious chaise longue wheeled in by crew members. Morales then arrives on horseback.

Afterwards, the co-hosts prepare for the show, talk to the producers, choose their wardrobe, get dressed up and chat over a cup of coffee. Gbajabiamila and Kloots even do a quick workout (skipping rope, of course).

“If today was chaos at the release / And you really need a break / Come on friend, just put your feet up / You bring coffee, we have cake,” they sing.

“Every day is new / we're one big family,” the group continues. “The audience and the crew are smiling, so it's going to be / a wonderful day.”

The clip ends with the co-hosts, whose outfits have now magically transformed into a palette of pastel-colored show looks, gathering backstage for a quick handshake before heading to the set.

CBS announced in April that The conversation would return this fall for an abbreviated 15th and final season to “celebrate the show and give it the proper send-off it deserves.”

The series, which premiered in 2010 and officially ends in December, has had many hosts over the years, including Julie Chen Moonves, Sara Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete, Aisha Tyler, Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini, Eve, Elaine Welteroth, Carrie Ann Inaba and Marie Osmond.

In a statement to PEOPLE about the show's cancellation, Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, and David Stapf, chairman of CBS Studios, thanked the show's past and present hosts and colleagues “who have contributed throughout the seasons.”

“The conversation “When the show launched 14 years ago, it broke new ground by bringing daytime talk shows back to CBS in a refreshing and award-winning format,” the statement said. “Over the years, it has been a key show in CBS's top-rated daytime schedule, bringing timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe.”

“We really appreciate the skill, creativity and commitment of everyone involved that they brought to the show every day,” it continues. “And of course, we thank the many guests who appeared and the millions of viewers who tuned in every day.”

Celebrity guests expected during the first week of the show include Terry Crews, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Lacey Chabert, Dave Bautista, Dana Delany, Adam Pally Alfonso Ribeiro and Amy Brenneman. The premiere week will also feature “5 Days of Getaways!” – a new segment in which the audience will be surprised with luxurious resort stays totaling over a million dollars.

In a new weekly segment, “Ask the Talk,” the hosts will answer questions and offer advice from their unique perspective. The segment will air on Wednesdays. There will also be “TikTalk,” where the hosts will react to the most viral videos of the week.

In the meantime, “Stand Up at The conversation” – a segment focused on stand-up comedy – continues on Fridays with performances by Caroline Rhea, Alonzo Bodden, Brian Kiley, Sophie Buddle and John Heffron (among others).
