Tom Brady's embarrassing moment on his broadcast debut goes viral

Seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady's embarrassing moment during his FOX Sports The broadcast premiere went viral on Sunday (September 8).

Brady got stuck by FOX Sports Rules Analyst Mike Pere when he tried to fist bump him in the locker room during the Week 1 game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Browns.

“Look, it’s Mike Pereria,” game commentator Kevin Burkhardt said and referred to the former referee.

“Good to see you, buddy,” Brady said, pumping his fist as Pereira turned his attention back to the monitor. “Oh, don't leave me hanging.”

“So good to be back with you guys,” said Pereira, turning his attention back to the commentary team and finally returning Brady’s fist salute.

Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million contract as FOX Sports' new lead NFL analyst in May 2022, weeks after announcing his decision to end his retirement and return for his 23rd NFL season. The deal was supposed to happen after Brady's NFL career ended, but the seven-time Super Bowl champion opted to take a year off with his children and prepare for the role.

Brady is the NFL's all-time record holder in passing yards (84,520) and touchdowns (624), as well as quarterback wins (243), among numerous other records. The San Mateo native spent his first 20 seasons with the nEW England Patriots, leading the franchise to an NFL-record six Super Bowl championships (tied with the Steelers) before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent in March 2020, which led to Tampa Bay winning its second Super Bowl in franchise history in February 2021 and becoming the first NFL team to win a Super Bowl in its home stadium.
