Tyrese Gibson arrested in court for unpaid child support

Tyrese Gibson was arrested in court Monday morning for failing to pay child support to his ex-wife Samantha Lee.

According to TMZ, the “Fast & Furious” actor, who has five-year-old daughter Soraya with Lee, appeared before Judge Kevin Farmer in a Fulton County, Georgia, courtroom regarding his ongoing child support dispute with his ex.

The judge reportedly had enough of Gibson's refusal to pay the $10,000 monthly fine he had imposed on him since April of last year.

Due to the “Baby Boy” actor’s failure to pay, Judge Farmer found Gibson in contempt of court.

He was handcuffed and led out of the courtroom.

According to the source, Judge Farmer said Gibson could avoid prison if he paid $73,000, which included $7,500 for Lee's legal fees.

TMZ reports that the TGT singer is making arrangements to pay off the outstanding debts.

Over the weekend, Gibson warned his fans that he could be arrested during the child support hearing and accused Judge Farmer and his ex-girlfriend's lawyers of conspiring against him.

“Samantha’s attorney Adam Gleklen and William Alexander, who are best friends with Judge Kevin M. Farmer [ collusion ]”, he wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post.

“We are appealing all of his rulings and have already tried twice to remove this judge from office… The second time we tried to remove him from office. [ He actually denied his own request to be thrown off the bench] …imagine that???,” added the “Sweet Lady” singer.

Gibson then asked media outlets, including The Post, to request media access to “see what Judge Farmer has in mind for him.”

“It's pretty clear they hate me, but I have to remind them of anything and everything about my life and success. I've been working my ass off since I was 14 to get here,” he wrote.

Gibson and Lee married in 2017 and welcomed Soraya in October 2018. Two years later, the couple announced their divorce.

He is also the father of 17-year-old daughter Shayla with his ex-wife Norma Mitchell, whom he was married to from 2007 to 2009.

In May, Mitchell filed a lawsuit against the R&B singer for defaming her and sharing private information about her and her teenage daughter Shayla on social media.
