Childish Gambino shows at United Center and elsewhere postponed

Actor Donald Glover announced Monday that he is postponing a show by his hip-hop alter ego Childish Gambino on October 3 at the United Center in Chicago as well as other stadium dates.

“I have to postpone the rest of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks,” he wrote on X, adding that tickets will remain valid for the new dates.

“Thank you for the privacy,” he said, giving no further details about his condition. “Thank you for the support. Thank you for the love.”

The Chicago show was supposed to be the last North American date on Childish Gambino's tour in support of his July album “Bando Stone and the New World.”

The “Atlanta” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actor has said that “Bando Stone,” the soundtrack to the upcoming film of the same name, will be the last for the role of Childish Gambino.

The tour was scheduled to move overseas with a concert outside Lyon, France, on October 31. However, Glover's statement made no mention of the fate of the concerts outside North America.
