Donald Glover postpones Childish Gamino tour stops to “focus on my physical health”

Donald Glover is postponing the remaining North American dates of his final tour under the name Childish Gambino for health reasons, he announced on Monday.

“Unfortunately, I have to postpone the remainder of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks,” Glover wrote in a statement on his X page. “Thank you for the privacy. Thank you for the support. Thank you for the love.”

Glover also wrote that ticket holders should keep their tickets as they are valid for the new dates, which have not yet been announced.

The North American part of the tour was supposed to end in Chicago on October 3rd. Then it will continue to Europe in November.

CNN has reached out to a spokesperson for Glover for comment.

Glover had previously announced that Sunday's concert in Houston would also be postponed “due to illness.” He had also scheduled a new concert in August, citing “production problems.”

In June, Glover announced that he would soon retire from his musical identity as Childish Gambino, saying in an interview with The New York Times that it was “unfulfilling.”

The actor and musician released his fifth and final Childish Gambino album, “Bando Stone & the New World,” in July.
