Man on probation arrested in drug raid in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Michigan – A man on probation was arrested in a drug raid in Kalamazoo on Monday.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) said its Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) and Crime Reduction Team (CRT) received notice that a 38-year-old man was illegally in possession of a firearm and that he was on probation for previous firearm-related violations.

Both teams found him in the 1900 block of Portage Street and arrested him, public safety officials say.

We were informed that the authorities seized 113 grams of cocaine, 18 grams of crack, a pistol and equipment used to manufacture the drug, as well as a large amount of cash.
