Did Joey Essex buy the house in LA?

Sell sunset is back on our screens with season 8 and somehow it's more dramatic than ever. The new episodes recently appeared on Netflix and include a surprise appearance by none other than Joey Essex. But did he actually buy the house in LA that Chelsea Lazkani showed him?

Following his work in the Love Island UK Villa, where Joey was the first sex bomb to enter and made it to the final week with partner Jessy Potts, the 34-year-old also appeared in the new season of Sell sunset.

The docudrama follows a team of real estate agents from the Oppenheim Group as they juggle office politics with the sale of luxury homes in and around the Hollywood Hills.

In one particular episode, Chelsea shows Joey around a property that's on the market for $5.25 million after telling the agent, “My client said one word: sexy. He's from London and he's moving to LA. As you know, people who move to LA want to be in the Hollywood Hills, with the view, and they want to have guests. He's a single guy and he wants to impress the ladies.”

Cue Joey showing up, asking if there's an indoor and outdoor nightclub, then flirting with fellow O-Group member Emma Hernan. Classic Reem behavior.

Since this episode, everyone has only one question on their minds (no, not, why was the whole thing just so embarrassing?): Did Joey actually buy the house in LA?

Well, there was no further mention of the former TOWIE Star in Sell sunset episodes, and there were no further reports about Joey's move to LA. As mentioned, he was also on Love Island this summer and made no mention of living in America – although he did mention that he travels a lot for work.

While his Instagram grid doesn't seem to give any insight into the exact house from the show, Joey has made Instagram posts in January, February and March of this year tagging LA as the location. His cousin Chloe Sims has also relocated to LA, a process that was filmed for the reality show Sims House.

While it doesn't look like Joey chose the $5.25 million home, he does seem to spend a lot of time across the pond.
