List of retailers that sold Boar's Head deli meat products associated with outbreak now available

The California Department of Public Health and some retail grocery chains have reported which stores sold Boar's Head deli meat, which has been linked to a deadly outbreak of Listeria infections.

The outbreak has sickened at least 57 people in 18 states. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nine people have died.

Boar's Head has recalled more than 7 million pounds of sausage products in connection with the outbreak. The full retail distribution list is available on the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) website. See: RC-023-2024Retail-List.pdf.

In California, the world's fifth-largest economy, there are numerous small chains and independent delis, as well as retailers such as Albertson's Pavilions, Sprouts, Safeway and Vons, according to a report by eFoodAlert.

The list of all retail stores in California can be found here. Elsewhere, consumers must rely on recall notices from supermarkets. Below is a list of supermarket chains that have posted notices on their websites. Other chains and individual stores have not yet posted recall notices.
