Pittsburgh Steelers recap: Justin Fields earns praise, Steelers lose punter for the season

Welcome to the Pittsburgh Steelers Roundup, a place to get all the links from Nick Farabaugh, PennLive's Pittsburgh Steelers reporter.

The Steelers have returned home after their win over the Atlanta Falcons. They begin preparing for another away game on Tuesday against the Denver Broncos. Will this game be like the last one where Steelers fans took over the city?

Well, maybe. It's also the return of Russell Wilson to Denver. On Monday, however, we reflected on Justin Fields' performance against the Falcons and where the team can go from here in Week 2.

Here are links to PennLive's coverage of the win's impact on the team.

STEELERS STORIES

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport believes the Steelers could put Justin Fields back in the starting lineup.

Terrell Edmunds has returned to the Steelers this time as a substitute.

The Steelers have their punter. It is Corliss Waitman, who returns after three years in the league.

Cordarrelle Patterson honored late rapper Rich Homie Quan with his soccer cleats on Sunday after the rapper tragically passed away at the age of 34.

If Scotty Miller ever thought he could successfully complete a field goal attempt, his wish came true on Sunday. And he played a big part in the team's victory.

How good was Justin Fields really? Pro Football Focus named him one of the five best passers this week. Former NFL head coach Rex Ryan, meanwhile, called Fields a potential superstar.

It's no surprise, but Cameron Johnston is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. The Steelers held a practice with several punters and Waitman won the job.

Who were the biggest winners and losers from the team's win over the Falcons? Here are a few from each category.

The Broncos are next in line to face the Steelers, but rookie quarterback Bo Nix had a historically poor performance in his NFL debut.
