Roommate found shot in southeast Houston, police investigating

HOUSTON – Houston police are reconstructing the background to the fatal shooting in a house in southeast Houston late Monday night.

It happened around midnight when investigators received a call from a man who found his roommate shot to death. When officers arrived at an apartment on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Hobby Airport, they learned that there may have been four people in the house at the time of the shooting.

The shooting victim was described as a man in his 50s.

Two people left the scene before police arrived and the third person was the roommate who called for help. However, they did not see what happened so there are no details on the shooter and police did not release any further information at the time of this writing.

The investigation is ongoing and officials are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
