Israeli minister shocked by new video of Hamas hostage-taking in Gaza Strip

Ministers attending Sunday's security cabinet meeting were shown a video shot in the tunnel showing the six hostages murdered by Hamas in late August.

According to those present, the ministers were shocked by the video. Although the bodies of the hostages are not visible in the video, blood stains are visible.

The tunnel in which the hostages were murdered is very narrow and low, so that one cannot stand in it, but only lie or sit.

“A factual discussion”

A participant in the cabinet meeting said the discussion in the meeting was “factual”, perhaps “because of the video and the shock it caused”.

At the end of August, the IDF recovered the bodies of hostages Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov and Ori Danino from a tunnel in Rafah in the Gaza Strip.

It was later revealed that they had been killed by Hamas shortly before the arrival of Israeli forces.
