Prince William and Princess Kate's public displays of affection in a new video released by Kensington Palace have earned them praise from fans, while Kate gave an update on her cancer treatment on Monday.

William and Kate's relationship has attracted more and more public interest in recent months. Netflix dramatized how they met and their beginnings as a couple in the last season of the successful royal drama. The Crownwhich was shown at the end of 2023.

The couple met at St. Andrew's University in Scotland in 2001 and began dating soon after. Their relationship became public in 2004 after they were spotted embracing during a skiing holiday, and six years later they announced their engagement.

On Monday, Kate released the first major update on her health since June. The Queen announced earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

In a three-minute video statement, the princess announced that she had completed her chemotherapy and was now focused on remaining “cancer-free.”

The video provided an unprecedented insight into the private lives of the Wales family, including domestic scenes filmed at their home in Norfolk, England, in August.

A compilation of the clips featured in the video, which show William and Kate's numerous expressions of affection, uploaded to TikTok by user “teamwalesfamily”, received widespread praise and was viewed more than 150,000 times on the platform in less than 24 hours.

One of the clips shows the couple sitting in the forest, with the princess resting her head on her husband's shoulder and him holding her hand.

Another picture shows the moment they lay together on a blanket in the sand dunes, Kate's arm around William as they told a joke. Other shots show the couple holding hands, kissing each other on the cheek and frolicking on the beach with their children.

The video, titled “THIS IS TRUE LOVE!” has so far received over 17,000 likes and more than 400 comments, many of which praised the couple and their tactile dynamic.

“They are so cute. They were uncontrollable on camera. Even Louis is like, 'Guys?!'” wrote one TikTok user.

“A beautiful couple and the children, so much love between them,” posted another, with another user adding: “It's so important for children to see how much their parents love each other. It looks like the children are used to the affection between mom and dad. This is beautiful.”
