What you should know about the Dolphins star arrested by police

Despite all the action on the field on the first Sunday of the NFL season, the biggest story may have happened before the game even started. All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill was on his way to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, when he was pulled over by police for speeding.

The ensuing confrontation was captured on a police officer's body camera and released by police on Monday, showing Hill, 30, being forcibly dragged from his car, thrown to the ground and handcuffed.

The Miami-Dade Police Department launched an internal investigation into the incident and announced that an officer was assigned administrative duties following the incident.

Why was Tyreek Hill stopped by the police?

Hill was stopped by a police officer on a motorcycle right outside Hard Rock Stadium on September 8 and informed that he was speeding.

Officials later said they clocked Hill at 60 miles per hour.
