Pine Bluff woman faces charges after allegedly trying to run over her ex-boyfriend – Deltaplex News

By Ray King

On Monday, bail was set at $5,000 for a Pine Bluff woman accused of running over her ex-boyfriend with her car after a verbal argument.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set bail after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge 54-year-old Evansila Jackson with aggravated assault on a family or household member.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Mike Merritt, Assistant District Attorney Lisa McGriff said police were called to 2007 Wellington Drive at 3:38 a.m. Sunday for a reported domestic dispute.

Police received information that Jackson was traveling to another address in a red vehicle and drove to that address where she was arrested after pulling into the driveway in a red vehicle. She was later transported to the adult jail where she was interviewed by Detective Merritt and gave a statement.

She was banned from contacting the victim and ordered to appear in court again on October 8.
